Sedona Arts Center
Originally inspired by the natural beauty of Sedona, a group of people recognized the need for a place where artists could gather to work, teach and learn. This was in 1958. Since, the Sedona Arts Center has flourished. Today it features a full palette of artistic experiences for all ages where creative artistic talent and art appreciation is the center-core of the Center's mission.
Its School of the Arts hosts hundreds of opportunities every year with classes and workshops led by creative instructors with nationally known artists. Instruction ranges from painting, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry making, photography and even creative writing.
The Sedona Arts Center also features its Fine Art Gallery which displays the largest selection of artwork by local Sedona artists. Exhibits which includes fine art, jewelry and photography features a new showcase every month that begins with a wine reception during the First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 8 PM. Featured artists are typically available to meet guests.
The Sedona Arts Center holds many special annual events including an Annual Fine Arts Auction, Loving Bowls. Sedona Photofest, and the famous Plein Air Festival. Visit the the following websites for details, schedules and dates of annual events.
