Chavez Crossing Campground Overview

Chavez Crossing combines a wooded Oak Creek camping setting with unusually convenient access to Sedona. Campers can spend the day enjoying the creek and nearby red rock country, then reach restaurants, shops, galleries and other Sedona attractions within a short drive.

The campground is designed specifically for groups rather than individual first-come campsites. All three group sites are reservable, and walk-in camping is not available.

Chavez Crossing has three reservable group campsites with a combined maximum capacity of 110 campers.

Cypress - Site 1: Up to 50 people; tents, RVs and trailers up to 35 feet.
Ponderosa - Site 2: Up to 30 people; tents, RVs and trailers up to 25 feet.
Sycamore - Site 3: Up to 30 people; tents, RVs and trailers up to 25 feet.
Check-in: 2:00 PM.
Checkout: 11:00 AM.

Directions To Chavez Crossing Group Campground

Chavez Crossing Group Campground is located at 201 Oak Creek Cliffs Drive in Sedona, Arizona. From the junction of State Route 89A and State Route 179, travel south on State Route 179 for approximately two miles, then turn onto Oak Creek Cliffs Drive. The campground is on the left near Poco Diablo Resort and Oak Creek.

Visitors arriving from Interstate 17 can use the Sedona exit and follow State Route 179 north toward Sedona before turning onto Oak Creek Cliffs Drive.
